Laurent Le Gall
Laurent was born in France, and developed a passion for cinema from a very young age, writing and shooting films with his father on Super 8mm. He then went to film school in Paris.
During military service, he found a passion for travelling as a way of life. It was on a road trip to San Francisco in 1999, that Laurent decided to move to California.
In 2002, he discovered Burning Man, spending seven days in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, alone…with 30,000 other people. Here he met David Best. He wanted to understand this unique event and share his experience with others through documentaries.
The two documentaries he directed and produced were called Sensation and Voyage in Utopia, the first two films of his own production company, Free Run Pictures. His latest project, Temples of Life, is currently in production and will encompass all of Best's work at Burning Man, including Temple in Derry~Londonderry.
