Jody Lyman
Jody has been working with David Best since 1990 when studying for her bachelor’s degree in fine art with an emphasis in sculpture at Sonoma State University. She has spent the last 25 years working with him, not only at Burning Man but across the world working on his art cars, sculptors and prints.
Jody lives in the tiny village of Blue Diamond, in the Red Rock Mountains above Las Vegas, Nevada. Jody and her husband Steve Enger own a production rigging company, specialising in the rigging and installation of permanent public works of art in the US and abroad. Prior to this, she worked for Green Builders of Marin, a construction firm with a focus on sustainable construction practices.
For Jody: 'every project is a unique opportunity to connect the artistic process with the human experience. Each individual brings such a distinctive perspective to the process that you never quite know how it’s going to reveal itself within the project.'
